Directions to the Golden Visitors Center
From Interstate 70 W: Take the exit for Highway 58 toward Golden. Take the Washington Avenue Exit. Turn left onto Washington Avenue. The Golden Visitors Center is at the bottom of the hill on your right, just before you cross a bridge over Clear Creek.
From C470: Take the last exit on C470, onto Highway 6-West. Turn right at 19th Street (there's a light). Before you reach the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Washington Avenue; pass under the "Welcome to Golden" sign. The Golden Visitors Center is two blocks farther on, on your left.
From Highway 6: If you're traveling westbound from Denver, Turn right at 19th Street (there's a light). Before you reach the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Washington Avenue; pass under the "Welcome to Golden" sign. The Golden Visitors Center is two blocks farther on, on your left. If you're traveling eastbound from the mountains, follow Highway 6 to 19th Street. Turn left (there's a light). Before you reach the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Washington Avenue. Pass under the "Howdy Folks" sign. The visitors center is two blocks farther on, on your left just past the pretty bridge over Clear Creek.
From Highway 93: If you're traveling southbound (from Boulder), just turn left on Washington Avenue (there's a light), and drive right into the center of town. The Golden Visitors Center will be on your right, after you pass the intersection of 10th & Washington.
By RTD light rail: Hop on the train anywhere along the RTD's W Line from Denver's Union Station to the Jefferson County Courthouse. Transfer, at no additional charge, to the Golden circulator bus that will take you just about anywhere you need to go in Golden.
